The ATV-SG1LE is a compact and easy-to-use on-camera shotgun microphone, ideal for content creators, YouTubers, or anyone looking to capture high-quality sound for their videos. Simply connect the mic using the included TRS-to-TRS cable to a DSLR, mirrorless SLR, or other camera, and you're ready to go. Unlike many typical plug-in mics that sacrifice performance for convenience, the ATV-SG1LE features specialized plug-in power circuitry, allowing it to maintain the professional-grade qualities of battery-powered microphones, such as an extended frequency range and high maximum SPL.
At just 127.1 mm (5.0") long and 35 mm (1.38") wide, this compact mic is perfect for action-filled environments. It features a highly directional 100 mm acoustic tube, identical to the one in the flagship ATV-SG1 model, ensuring that audio pickup remains focused on the sound source while blocking unwanted background noise.
The ATV-SG1LE adopts the solid-mesh design of Audio-Technica's 20 Series microphones and delivers professional-quality sound with lifelike reproduction of the human voice and other sound sources. A key component of this natural, high-resolution sound is the newly designed 14 mm large-diameter diaphragm, which provides high sensitivity and low noise for rich and detailed audio. The integrated shock mount helps to eliminate handling noise caused by camera movement and vibrations, and Audio-Technica's patented noise-immunity technology ensures that the microphone won't pick up unwanted hums from nearby electronics. Additionally, the mic includes a wind muff to maintain clear audio in windy conditions.
The mic also features a 12-sided shoe mount that allows for precise camera attachment in 30-degree increments, making it easy to capture off-center sound sources.
