Featuring a refined and lighter weight design, the Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 EF II represents the second generation of this portrait-length prime lens designed for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. The short-telephoto focal length, combined with the bright f/1.8 aperture, is ideal for diverse lighting conditions, providing control over depth of field and effective subject isolation. The optical construction incorporates one extra-low dispersion element, one aspherical element, and four highly transparent glass elements, effectively minimizing chromatic and spherical aberrations to achieve high clarity and sharpness. To reduce flare and ghosting, an HD Nano multi-layer coating is applied, enhancing contrast in challenging lighting situations. Furthermore, the lens incorporates an STM motor for swift and silent autofocus performance, with a minimum focusing distance of 2.6' for close-up photography.
