Viltrox EF-FX2 0.71x Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF to Fujifilm X

The Viltrox 0.71x Lens Mount Adapter facilitates the mounting of a full-frame Canon EF-mount lens onto a FUJIFILM X-mount camera. Its optics are designed to optimize the apparent angle of view of the connected lens while simultaneously providing a one-stop increase for the camera across the lens's aperture range.

When connecting a lens intended for 35mm film or similarly-sized full-frame camera sensors to a FUJIFILM X-mount camera, the image projected would be larger than the APS-C sized sensor can accommodate. This results in an in-camera "crop factor" as only the center portion of the image is captured. The adapter addresses this by condensing the light from a full-frame lens onto the APS-C sensor, effectively reducing the crop factor and providing an additional one-stop increase in light for each f-stop setting of the lens.

For lenses with autofocus and camera-controlled aperture functions, the adapter is designed to enable the use of these features. Additionally, if the attached lens can generate Exif metadata when used with a directly compatible camera, this adapter allows the preservation of such information when capturing images with a FUJIFILM X-mount camera and the adapter.

Constructed with four lens elements in four groups, the adapter prioritizes optical clarity and color fidelity. Its detachable tripod foot features a 1/4"-20 accessory thread, facilitating direct attachment to tripods or quick release plates with 1/4"-20 mounts.
