Sony ZV-E10 Camera with 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 OSS II Lens (Black)
Designed with vloggers in mind, the Sony ZV E10 combines a large APS C sensor with mirrorless flexibility and a feature set tailored specifically for content creators. Offering a clear step up from smartphone shooting, it delivers improved image quality, access to interchangeable lenses, and greater creative control to help elevate both video and still content. Evolving from the concept introduced with the ZV 1, the ZV E10 continues this creator focused approach in a compact and highly capable mirrorless body optimized for solo productions. A vari angle rear screen makes framing intuitive, while the built in directional microphone is engineered to capture clearer audio from front facing subjects. Dedicated shooting modes such as Background Defocus and Product Showcase simplify highlighting subjects and products without technical complexity.
The three inch rear touchscreen LCD features a side flip out design that is ideal for self filming and selfies, and its placement allows for a redesigned top plate that houses a forward facing three capsule microphone. A supplied wind screen attaches via an included adapter and mounts to the shoe to help reduce wind noise when recording outdoors. For expanded audio options, both microphone and headphone ports are included, along with a Multi Interface Shoe that supports digital audio accessories for cleaner sound with less noise and fewer cables. A front tally lamp and an optional red frame on the LCD provide clear visual confirmation when recording is active. The camera also supports live streaming directly over USB to a computer or compatible mobile device, using UVC and UAC standards for reliable video and audio quality.
Vlogging focused features extend to intelligent exposure and focus tools designed to keep subjects looking their best. Product Showcase mode enables smooth and fast focus transitions between a presenters face and objects held in front of the lens, while Face Priority auto exposure ensures consistent brightness on faces even when moving between lighting conditions. Refined color science delivers natural and inclusive skin tones across a wide range of subjects, and the Soft Skin Effect gently smooths facial details with adjustable intensity. Background Defocus allows instant switching to a wide aperture for subject separation, and video clips can be tagged with vertical orientation metadata for seamless playback on smartphones. Active SteadyShot provides enhanced stabilization for smoother handheld footage while walking.
At the heart of the camera is a revised twenty four point two megapixel APS C Exmor CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ X processor, producing detailed images with low noise and a sensitivity range from ISO one hundred to thirty two thousand, expandable to fifty one thousand two hundred. The sensor is significantly larger than those found in smartphones, allowing improved low light performance and better control over depth of field. Continuous shooting is possible at up to eleven frames per second with autofocus and auto exposure, and fourteen bit raw files preserve rich tonal and color detail. Autofocus performance is driven by a four hundred twenty five point Fast Hybrid AF system that covers most of the frame and achieves focus in as little as point zero two seconds. Real time Eye AF supports humans and animals, while AI based real time tracking maintains accurate focus on moving subjects.
Video capabilities include UHD four K recording up to thirty frames per second using full pixel readout with six K oversampling for increased detail and reduced artifacts. Full HD recording is available at frame rates up to one hundred twenty frames per second, and uncompressed HDMI output supports external recorders for higher quality capture. There is no recording time limit, allowing for longer uninterrupted takes. Advanced color and gamma controls are available, including S Log two and S Log three for extended dynamic range and grading flexibility, as well as HLG and BT twenty twenty support for wide gamut recording. Slow and Quick motion modes enable creative control over motion, while interval shooting supports time lapse creation with flexible timing options and USB power support for extended sessions.
Built for portability and one handed operation, the camera features a deep grip and intuitive controls that work seamlessly with the vari angle screen for front facing shooting. A zoom lever surrounding the shutter button supports compatible power zoom lenses, and the screen can be closed inward to automatically power the camera down. Dedicated buttons provide quick access to commonly used vlogging functions, and the included battery supports extended shooting with additional power options via USB or AC adapter. Wireless connectivity through Wi Fi and Bluetooth allows easy image transfer, remote control, and compatibility with mobile apps and accessories such as wireless shooting grips.
Paired with the camera is the Sony E PZ sixteen to fifty millimeter f three point five to five point six OSS II lens, designed for APS C mirrorless cameras and offering a versatile equivalent zoom range in a compact form. The lens retracts when powered off to maintain portability and features fast autofocus along with improved optical stabilization for sharp handheld results. Its optical design includes aspherical and extra low dispersion elements for consistent image quality, and it supports autofocus while zooming and high frame rate shooting, making it well suited for smooth single person filming with moving subjects.
