B+W 49mm Neutral Density 0.9 8x 103 MRC Filter

The B+W Neutral Density Filter reduces light entering the lens by three f-stops, with a logarithmic density of 0.9, while maintaining excellent color neutrality. It is particularly useful for video applications when the lens cannot be stopped down enough in bright conditions or when a shallow depth of field is desired for creative control. With a filter factor of 8x, it provides consistent exposure reduction without affecting image color or quality. Each glass surface is vacuum-coated with a single layer of anti-reflection coating to minimize internal reflections and ghosting. This single coating increases light transmission from about 92% on uncoated glass to over 98%, ensuring sharp, high-contrast images with superior optical performance.
