Through a special premoval process, the traditional anti-halation rem-jet layer has been eliminated, allowing the film to be developed in standard C-41 chemistry as well as the motion picture ECN-2 process. This high-speed color negative film is balanced for tungsten, incandescent, and fluorescent light sources and offers a nominal sensitivity of ISO 800/30. When shooting in daylight, an 85B filter is recommended, and exposing the film at ISO 500 yields natural color results. Its fast speed makes it ideal for low-light photography and enables push processing by up to three stops. CineStill 800T delivers a signature halation effect, producing a glowing aura around strong light sources. The emulsion is optimized for hybrid workflows and scans beautifully, maintaining excellent tonal range and detail. The film performs well when pushed, with suggested exposure ratings of ISO 800 for standard development (EI 200–1600), ISO 1250 for a one-stop push (EI 800–2000), ISO 1600 for a two-stop push (EI 1250–3200), and ISO 3200 for a three-stop push (EI 1600–3200) with enhanced contrast.
