The DJI Mic Mini is an ultracompact and versatile audio solution designed to help content creators enhance the sound quality of their vlogs, livestreams, and social media videos. Compatible with a wide range of devices, it can connect to DSLR and mirrorless cameras or iOS and Android smartphones using both wired and wireless options. The system transmits clear and reliable audio from up to 1312 feet away with two miniature clip-on omnidirectional microphone transmitters. The tiny receiver can be mounted to a camera or plugged directly into a smartphone or laptop through its USB-C port or a separately available adapter. Using 2.4 GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth technology, the Mic Mini connects seamlessly to the DJI Mimo app on mobile devices, allowing users to toggle noise cancellation and audio limiting or connect directly to cameras like the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Action 5 Pro. The receiver offers both 3.5mm TRS and USB-C connections for flexible device compatibility, with an included TRS cable enabling synchronized camera power and audio transmission. When connected via USB-C to a smartphone, both devices can charge simultaneously, and recordings can be reviewed through external playback.

The Mic Mini is also compatible with the DJI Neo drone for wireless audio recording through the DJI Fly app, which removes propeller noise and merges audio directly with video footage. For a fully wireless setup, transmitters can be attached to clothing using an integrated back clip, with magnetic and lanyard attachment options available separately. Each transmitter weighs only 0.4 oz, remaining discreet and comfortable while capturing consistent, clear vocals thanks to the omnidirectional pickup pattern. Two furry windscreens are included to reduce wind noise without compromising sound quality. Onboard controls allow easy switching between two noise cancellation levels, with the basic level ideal for quiet indoor environments and the strong level designed for noisier settings. Automatic limiting can be enabled to prevent clipping, while a gain dial on the receiver offers five levels of manual adjustment. Safety track recording creates a secondary track at a lower volume to safeguard against interference or sudden volume spikes.

The built-in rechargeable batteries in the transmitters and receiver provide 11.5 and 10.5 hours of use respectively, with a quick five-minute charge adding an extra hour when needed. The included charging case can fully recharge the system 3.6 times for up to 48 hours of total operation. The DJI Mimo app also offers an auto power-off feature, shutting the system down after 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
