Capture clear audio for single-person interviews and vlogs on your Multi Interface compatible Sony camera with the Sony ECM-W3S Wireless Microphone System, featuring a clip-on transmitter with built-in microphone and a single-channel receiver with Multi Interface Shoe connection. The system allows recording of both analog and digital audio signals in mixed or separate channels, giving maximum flexibility during postproduction. The compact receiver includes 3.5mm TRS and USB-C output ports, while two side switches let you select separate or mixed channel recording and switch between analog and digital outputs. A safety track option protects against unexpected interruptions, and an attenuator switch on the transmitter prevents clipping.

The units communicate via Bluetooth 5.3 using the low-energy LC3plus codec, providing up to 492 feet of range with low latency, low power consumption, and high-quality sound. The receiver connects cable-free to your camera via the integrated Multi Interface Shoe, drawing power from the camera body and transmitting audio digitally to maintain signal integrity. The transmitter integrates a digital MEMS microphone with a high signal-to-noise ratio for clear audio, with built-in noise cut and low-cut filters to reduce interference and unwanted low-frequency sounds like wind, air conditioning, or vibrations.

The system offers three attenuation settings of 0, 10, or 20 dB and a 3.5mm TRS jack for external microphone input. Each component has a built-in lithium-ion battery, with the transmitter providing up to six hours of operation per charge. The included charging case allows on-the-go recharging. LED indicators on both receiver and transmitter display communication status and battery levels, and all components are moisture- and dust-resistant for outdoor shooting. Furry windscreens are included to further minimize wind noise.
