It selectively darkens areas like bright skies while leaving the rest of the image properly exposed. The filter is densest at the edge and gradually clears toward the middle, with a hard-edged transition line between the dark and clear portions. This type of neutral density filter is especially effective for photographs with distinct horizon lines, as it reduces light by up to 3 stops without affecting overall color balance. Constructed from durable CR39 optical resin, the filter measures 1.6mm thick and provides both clarity and long-lasting performance.
