Cotton Carrier G3 Wanderer Side Holster for All Camera Body Styles (Gray)

Keep your DSLR, mirrorless, or compact camera close and ready for action with the gray G3 Wanderer Side Holster from Cotton Carrier. Designed for convenience, the holster attaches easily to your own belt or strap using the rear belt-loop. An additional interlocking touch-fastening strap behind the belt-loop allows secure attachment to larger items, such as a backpack's waist belt. While capable of handling longer and heavier lenses, the recommended maximum is a 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom. This holster is well-suited for a range of activities like hiking, sports coverage, and other light to moderate shooting situations. The included shoulder strap features a sliding D-ring safety tether, letting your camera move freely while remaining securely attached. This tether also acts as a backup in case of accidental camera and mount separation.

The tether clips onto your camera via a swiveling snap-hook and split ring attached to a strap lug. Your camera connects to the holster system with a hub that screws into the tripod socket using the supplied Allen Key. The back of the hub includes a 0.25" threaded hole, allowing you to attach a tripod or quick-release plate without removing the hub. A rubber washer is compressed when tightening the hub to prevent loosening, and Cotton Carrier suggests applying a small amount of LocTite for added security. It's important to regularly check for debris or wear on the hub and receptacle to ensure safe operation.

This holster is compatible with the optional Cotton Carrier Lens Bag System and Waist Belt. Please note that it does not include a Universal Tripod Adapter plate, so if you plan to switch directly from the Wanderer to your tripod, that accessory will need to be purchased separately.
