The Sekonic C-7000 Spectrometer is a compact handheld color meter developed specifically for industrial use, offering precise measurement of a wide variety of light sources including LED, HMI, fluorescent, natural light, tungsten, and electronic flash. Built with Sekonic's advanced CMOS linear image sensor and software technology, the C-7000 captures highly accurate data from virtually any type of illumination. As advanced lighting technologies like LED and Organic Electroluminescence become more widespread, the ability to analyze and control these systems with consistency is increasingly important. Variations in manufacturing processes and light output can lead to quality issues, and the C-7000 is designed to help professionals in photo, video, and cinema environments meet these challenges with advanced lighting analysis capabilities.

Equipped with a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, the C-7000 presents detailed information including correlated color temperature, illuminance, CRI, tristimulus values, chromaticity coordinates under multiple CIE standards, peak wavelength, excitation purity, and photosynthetic photon flux density. These readings are especially useful for lighting manufacturers, quality control teams, government standards compliance, medical lighting management, and agricultural lighting systems. With this level of data, professionals can monitor and adjust lighting environments in settings ranging from offices and roadways to grow rooms and clinics, ensuring proper color performance and safety standards.

The C-7000 easily connects to a Windows PC using the included C-7000 Utility software, which allows users to configure the meter and export data in CSV format at 1 nanometer increments across the 380 to 780 nanometer spectrum. The software also enables output of spectral distribution graphs, CRI charts, and chromaticity diagrams in various image formats. With its 270-degree swivel head, simplified dark calibration, and customizable interface, the C-7000 is designed for ease of use in the field. It supports standalone flash measurement using a sync cord or cordless detection and offers an expansive measurement range from 1,563 to 100,000 Kelvin and 1 to 200,000 lux for ambient light. Various display modes are available, including text views, comparison graphs, CRI analysis, and CIE-based color models.

The C-7000 stores up to 999 measurement sets, with a memory feature that lets users label, rename, and clear data as needed, making it easy to track changes or compare different light sources over time. Measurements include illuminance, color temperature, CRI scores for R1 through R15, deviation values, tristimulus readings, chromaticity coordinates, dominant and peak wavelengths, excitation purity, and photosynthetic photon flux density. With its extensive measurement options, intuitive design, and professional-grade accuracy, the C-7000 serves a wide range of industries, from lighting product development and medical safety compliance to educational and agricultural applications.
