The XCD 28mm f4 P lens from Hasselblad is the smallest and lightest lens in the X System lineup, engineered to deliver exceptional image quality and fast, accurate focusing for capturing spontaneous moments. Its optical design includes nine elements in eight groups, featuring two aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element, which work together to minimize chromatic aberration and ensure clear, detailed images. With a 22mm equivalent focal length on full-frame and a constant f4 aperture, this wide-angle lens is well-suited for photographing nature, street scenes, and architectural details. Despite its compact form, the lens is built to meet the high-resolution demands of 100-megapixel sensors, producing sharp results from edge to edge. It offers a close focusing distance of just three and a half inches and a 1 to 6 magnification ratio, making it easy to capture detailed shots of food, flowers, and other nearby subjects. A linear stepping motor, paired with a lightweight focusing group, allows the lens to lock focus quickly and precisely when used with the phase-detection autofocus system of the X2D 100C, and manual focus override is always available. The built-in leaf shutter enables full flash synchronization at all shutter speeds, up to one four-thousandth of a second, allowing for creative control even in bright lighting conditions by balancing flash and ambient light.
