Featuring a newly developed sensor design and an updated L2 processing engine, the S5 IIX becomes the first Lumix camera to incorporate Phase Hybrid autofocus, delivering fast, accurate, and dependable focusing. Leveraging its 24.2MP sensor and enhanced processor, the camera records full frame 6K video for up to 30 minutes while also supporting unlimited 4K recording. Optimized for video capture, it includes a newly developed Active I.S. system that improves stabilization during walking shots and handheld motion.

Exclusive to the advanced S5 IIX, this model arrives with a suite of professional video features pre installed for demanding workflows. These include HDMI RAW video output, direct USB SSD recording, ALL Intra recording, and ProRes support for efficient editing and data management. Livestreaming is built in, with support for wireless IP streaming, USB tethering to smartphones, and wired IP streaming for broadcast and online production. The S5 IIX is also the first Lumix camera to feature a refined all black body design, offering a discreet and professional appearance.

The upgraded full frame 24.2MP CMOS sensor works alongside the L2 image processing engine to deliver improved speed, sensitivity, and dynamic range. A newly developed Phase Hybrid AF system uses 779 phase detection points to significantly enhance subject tracking and focusing accuracy. With a native ISO range of 100 to 51200 that can be expanded from ISO 50 to 204800, the camera performs reliably across a wide range of lighting conditions. For action and fast moving subjects, it supports continuous shooting at up to 9 frames per second with the mechanical shutter and up to 30 frames per second with the electronic shutter. Sensor shift stabilization also enables a High Resolution mode that combines eight exposures into a single 96MP raw or JPEG file, producing images with increased detail and color accuracy when used on a tripod with static subjects.

Full frame 6K recording at 30p with 10 bit color can be captured for extended sessions, while unlimited recording is available in DCI and UHD 4K at 60p with 10 bit 4 2 2 color. High speed 120p recording allows for smooth slow motion footage, and RAW video output over HDMI is supported through an optional license upgrade. V Log is pre installed to capture a flat gamma profile with more than 14 stops of dynamic range, enabling precise color control in post production and seamless matching with footage from Panasonic VariCam cameras.

A high resolution 3.68 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder delivers clear composition with 0.78 times magnification and selectable refresh rates of 60 or 120 frames per second.
