When paired with a Hi-Res Audio-compatible microphone, frequencies beyond 20 kHz can also be recorded, enhancing depth, realism, and flexibility in post-production. 32-bit float recording on compatible cameras ensures an exceptionally wide dynamic range and significantly reduces the risk of clipping, even when levels are adjusted during editing. This allows for a more flexible workflow and minimizes the need for precise gain control while recording.
To fully utilize high-quality microphones, dual ADC technology combines two analog-to-digital converters operating at different gain levels. This approach accurately captures a broad dynamic range, from very quiet to extremely loud sounds, with high fidelity.
With the dual ADC-equipped XLR Adapter, captured audio is converted into 32-bit float digital data, preserving the full dynamic range and allowing greater flexibility in post-production without the need for exact gain adjustments during recording. It supports 4-channel audio input, enabling simultaneous multi-microphone recording to separate tracks for versatile editing. Safety channels with varied gain levels, along with flexible input assignment across CH1-CH4, provide added confidence and creative control.
Simply attaching the XLR Adapter to the Multi Interface (MI) Shoe of a compatible camera enables power and audio transmission without the need for cables or batteries. Support for Hi-Res Audio microphones and 96 kHz/32-bit float recording ensures high-quality, edit-friendly sound, with independent 32-bit float WAV recording capability.
A clear, high-visibility layout enhances usability, featuring OL (overload) indicators for each input to allow quick level monitoring. LOW CUT and ATT (attenuator) switches, along with manual gain controls, are grouped on one side for intuitive and flexible channel configuration.
The included Shoe Audio Extension Cable adds flexibility to mounting options. Even when used as part of a rig setup, it allows adaptable positioning for optimal configuration in different shooting scenarios.
A compact, reinforced construction provides durability for demanding field use, while a low center of gravity reduces strain on the Multi Interface (MI) Shoe. When paired with the supplied Shoe Audio Extension Cable Reinforcement Attachment, it ensures stable and dependable mounting during extended operation.
The built-in USB Type-C port enables direct connection to a PC for camera-free use, making it suitable for applications such as studio recording and podcasting. The included mini stand enhances stability and versatility.
