Canon has carefully engineered the optics, incorporating two aspherical elements, an ultra-low dispersion element, and a Super Spectra Coating to reduce aberrations, ghosting, and flare. Its lightweight design and 5.9" minimum focus distance make it ideal for capturing close-up portraits in confined spaces. The built-in image stabilizer also pairs with Movie Digital IS in supported cameras like the R50 V. Additionally, the lead screw-type STM AF system delivers quick, continuous autofocus while remaining smooth and quiet for video use.
