The Canon RF 20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ is Canon's first full-frame lens to offer both power zoom and manual zoom functionality. Designed for exceptional optical quality and performance, it delivers a versatile wide-angle to standard zoom range in a compact, high-quality L-series lens.

Engineered with two aspherical elements and three ultra-low dispersion (UD) elements, this lens produces outstanding image clarity from edge to edge. Its constant f/4 aperture ensures consistent exposure throughout the zoom range, while Air Sphere Coating (ASC) helps minimize ghosting and flare for cleaner results.

With its 20-50mm focal range, the lens makes it easy to capture expansive scenes while still allowing close framing for details and tighter compositions. This versatility is especially useful when shooting on the move or in confined spaces.

A standout feature is the built-in Power Zoom system, which allows smooth, variable-speed zooming by simply rotating the zoom ring - no external accessories required. Zoom speed can be customized for precise control, and compatibility with select EOS cameras (such as the EOS R6 V) enables operation via an integrated zoom lever. The lens can also be switched to conventional manual zoom operation, offering flexibility for different shooting styles. Additionally, remote zoom control is supported through the Canon Camera Connect app and Bluetooth remotes (BR-E1 and BR-E2).

For stabilization, the lens includes Optical Image Stabilization capable of up to 6 stops of shake correction. When paired with compatible EOS R cameras featuring In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), Coordinated IS boosts stabilization performance up to 8 stops, providing clear, steady images even in low-light conditions or without a tripod.

The lens is driven by three compact but powerful USM (Ultrasonic Motor) units - two for zooming and one dedicated to autofocus - ensuring fast, smooth, and nearly silent operation.

Close-up shooting is also impressive, with a maximum magnification of 0.33x at 50mm and a minimum focusing distance of just 9.4 inches, making it ideal for expressive, detailed shots.
